Slewing bearings/ Rings

Slewing bearings are ball or cylindrical roller bearings that can accommodate axial, radial and moment loads acting either singly or in combination and in any direction. They are not mounted on a shaft or in a housing; the rings, which are simply bolted on the seating surface are available in one of three executions:
Without gears / With an internal gear / With an external gear
Slewing bearings can perform both oscillating (slewing) movements as well as rotating movements.

Spherical roller bearings are self-aligning and are therefore insensitive to misalignment of the shaft relative to the housing and to shaft deflection or bending. They can accommodate both high radial loads and high axial loads in both directions.
Single row deep groove ball bearings are particularly versatile & are of a simple design. SKF single row deep groove ball bearings are non-separable & suitable for very high speeds while still being very robust in operation. SKF deep groove ball bearings require very little maintenance. Deep race ways & close conformity between the bearings raceways & the ball bearings enable these deep groove ball bearings units to accommodate axial loads in both directions, as well as radial loads, even when the ball bearings are running at very high speeds.
Self aligning ball bearings at Rotary Bearings are available in metric sizes. These self aligning ball bearings are suited to applications where considerable shaft deflections or misalignment are to be expected.

Oil Seals

View our range of nitrile covered metric rotary shaft oil seals. Oil seals are made in order to prevent against the entry of dirt, dust, water or any other foreign matter, while also protecting against the escape of greases and lubricants.

Belts

V or Vee Belt drives consist of a connection between two or more shafts by one or multiple rubber drive belts, these belts are pulled tight or “tensioned” such as to create friction between the sides of the pulleys and the belts, each of the shafts will have a pulley attached and the belt is tensioned between them. As the drive pulley turns the power is transferred to the driven pulley by the belt. Precision Timing Pulleys

Precision timing pulleys are manufactured to a very high standard from aluminium with either aluminium or steel flanges. Our standard range includes metric pitches of 2.5mm, 5mm, 10mm and 20mm. A number of ranges including high precision, heavy duty and anti-backlash timing pulleys are available as standard on short lead times.
